We are pleased to see that COVID cases are rapidly declining as we continue to prepare for our wedding on March 12. We care so much about all of our guests (including the young and the elderly), and we want everyone to feel safe and have a wonderful time. Here are some of the steps we are taking for everyone's health:

• We encourage everyone to be vaccinated and boosted.
• Since even vaccinated guests can get and/or spread Omicron, our best option for minimizing risk is knowing that our guests have tested negative. We strongly encourage everyone to take a COVID test (at-home, rapid, or PCR) within 72 hours before the wedding, or right before traveling to Charlotte. You can request free COVID tests at www.covidtests.gov. We will have a few at-home tests available for anyone who may wish to test at their hotel prior to the ceremony.
• We have purchased an at home test for every vendor. All vendors will be tested beforehand. Also, all vendors will be wearing masks at all times, excluding the band.
• Please be prepared to wear a mask during the ceremony. At this time, this is a requirement of Mecklenburg County and the museum. Guests will not be required to wear masks at the reception.
• The hotel shuttle will be available at any time if you wish to leave after the ceremony or shortly after dinner.
• We will provide hand sanitizer at the ceremony entrance, the bars, the buffet, and every table at the cocktail hour and reception.
• During the reception (weather permitting), we will keep a door to the balcony open to increase natural airflow. We will also provide additional seating on the balcony or in a separate room for those who may wish to eat separately from the main reception area.
• We ask our guests to take precautions leading up to our event and to not attend if you are feeling sick. For those who cannot attend for any reason, we will be streaming our wedding via youtube. Please note that the deadline for reserving wedding block hotel rooms is February 9 at the Kimpton and February 11 at the Marriott and Hilton.
